Krispy Kreme Australia has launched a "Grilled" doughnut range: the Krispy Slider and Glazed Dog, available for a limited time only.

According to the company, the new Grilled range looks likea savoury range, but one bite will reveal otherwise.

Instead of beef, the Krispy Slider houses a glazed chocolate mudcake “patty” and sweet cream “special sauce”, encased in a fluffy doughnut “bun” and topped with a sprinkling of sugar crystal “seeds”.

While the Glazed Dog looks like a sandwich, it actually contains a sweet cream “sausage”, encased in Krispy Kreme’s caramel iced doughnut “bun” and finished with a smattering of cream “dressing”.

Krispy Kreme chief marketing officer, Amanda Mita, said the world-first launch of Grilled aimed to provide Aussie fans with something fresh, exciting and distinctive.

The Krispy Slider and Glazed Dog are available individually or as a dozen pack.
