Snack and cereal brand, Kez's Kitchen has created a new cookie exclusive to Qantas and that's scheduled to take flight next month.

Kez’s Kitchen will supply the airline with a new Roasted Macadamia, Fig & Ginger cookie that took six months to develop.

“We’ve developed a cookie that, when eaten mid-flight, tastes café fresh. The brief required us to develop a product that was both delicious and fulfilling, which is exactly what we’ve achieved,” says Kez’s Kitchen owner, Michael Carp.

The cookie is made from blended oats and wholemeal flour, chopped figs, crystallised ginger and large roasted macadamia pieces, according to Carp.

“The more passengers that sample our brand, the more consumers will realise the difference that premium ingredients can make to a snack. As we are all about food, passion and family this is fantastic marketing for our family business,” Carp says.

The new cookie will be launched on flights in March 2014, and it will form just part of the range supplied by the Melbourne-based family business to Qantas each month, he says.

Kez’s Kitchen started as a kitchen-based business in the family home supplying chocolate-chip cookies and other indulgent treats to cafes and small gourmet retailers.

Today the company makes premium biscuits, cereal and snack brands and supplies to the major supermarkets, airlines and premium cafes.
