When Visy faced a disruption to a vital milk bottle production line, Coates Power & HVAC mobilised an 800 kW industrial chiller to continue production, completing the delivery and installation from interstate in 36 hours.

Coates Power & HVAC was launched earlier this year to provide turnkey solutions for power, compressed air, climate control and process cooling, with an extensive range of custom-built equipment and end-to-end service and support.

Visy engaged Coates Power & HVAC for a chiller to be installed as soon as possible after a disruption to a vital milk bottle production line.

The company arranged for an 800kW chiller to be delivered from New South Wales to Victoria. The chiller was the largest of its kind ever deployed by Coates’ South Business unit.

Coates Power & HVAC pre-tested the chiller to ensure it was in working order and facilitated delivery of the equipment to site where it was craned into position, connected to the fixed plant services and commissioned. Soon afterwards, the chiller had the production line back up and running, delivering volumes of cold water into the site’s chilled water storage tank.

Coates business development manager Paul De Villiers said the launch of Coates Power & HVAC division equipped the company with a range of services and equipment to minimise the impact of critical plant failures.

“This is a great example of being able to deliver and install vital equipment quickly to get things back up and running for our customers,” said De Villiers.

Ideal for use in industrial, engineering, mining, oil & gas and manufacturing environments, Coates Power & HVAC also expects significant interest in regional areas across Australia where its branch network and teams of plant maintenance people can provide local support to Power & HVAC systems.
