Asia’s continental trade show for fresh fruit and vegetable marketing, Asia Fruit Logistica, returns to Hong Kong’s AsiaWorld-Expo Center on 5-7 September.

Organisers say the show promises to be the biggest and best edition to date, and new countries are joining the show in 2018, with Oman and Azerbaijan making their debut appearance.

China’s two leading online food retail platforms – e-commerce giant JD.com and Alibaba-invested fresh food e-tailer Yiguo – will also both be exhibiting for the first time.

Companies ramping up their presence at the show include regional produce powerhouse Dole Asia and Beijing-based fresh produce e-tailer MissFresh both doubling the size of their stands.

Asiafruit Congress fresh fruit conference takes place the day before the show on 4 September at the same venue, and is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

On the show-floor at Asia Fruit Logistica will be the Asiafruit Business Forum, offering practical ideas and solutions for better fresh produce marketing and business management.

Cool Logistics Asia offers a program of workshops on cold chain management, and Smart Horticulture Asia is a forum on disruptive technology and digitalisation of the supply chain.

New for 2018 is the Media Studio where visitors will also be able to take in quick-fire live interviews with key industry figures on a range of exciting developments and innovations.

Last year, more than 800 companies from 43 different countries exhibited, an increase of over 150 exhibitors. The show also attracted more than 13,000 visitors from 76 different countries, over three quarters from Asia, representing 20 different markets across the Asia-Pacific region.
