Hardys wines, the official wine of Cricket Australia, has announced Glenn McGrath as its cricket ambassador, ahead of the summer season.

McGrath will represent Hardys for the next two years as an extension of its three-year partnership with Cricket Australia, launched in late 2013.

Fifth-generation family member and Hardys global brand ambassador, Bill Hardy said: “Having Glenn McGrath as our Hardys cricket ambassador is an absolute honour. Glenn is nothing short of a legend of the game.

“He has determination, he has commitment and he appeals to the Australian public. He has abundant character and personality, and many of these traits are reflected in our wines.

“I look forward to sharing many a glass of Sir James Sparkling with Glenn.”

McGrath said: “What makes Hardys an Australian icon is also what makes it so appealing. It’s a brand with more than 160 years of history, and their passion and pride in winemaking is something I very much relate to and will be proud to represent as an ambassador.”
