Gloria Jean’s Coffees has opened a drive-thru coffee house in Greenacre, Sydney.

The drive-thru is the first in New South Wales and offers consumers the chance to order their espresso-based lattes, chillers, hot chocolates, teas and food items without leaving their cars.

Franchise partners Fawa and Fay Habib, who already run a coffee house in nearby Chullora, have helped launched the drive-thru option.

“We’ve been part of the Gloria Jean’s Coffees family for the past two years,” said Habib.

Group brand and marketing manager Nicole Saleh said a new demographic of consumers would be reached through the initiative.

A public launch party with a DJ and face painting was held at the site on Saturday.

Gloria Jean’s opened in Australia in 1996, launched a community charity called With Heart in 2009, and  today has almost 800 coffee houses in 39 markets worldwide, including over 345 locations across Australia.
