Organisers of the world's largest international food industry trade show, Anuga, and Asia's dedicated fresh fruit and vegetable trade show, Asia Fruit Logistica, say these exhibitions are drawing strong international interest.

Anuga which opens in October in Cologne, has attracted 6,800 exhibitors from 100 countries. Anuga, which is held every two years, will span 284,000 m² of exhibition space.

According to organisers, around 155,000 trade visitors from 187 countries attended the last trade fair in 2013. In 2015, some new countries will be participating, bringing more diversity and internationality to Anuga, organisers say.

Anuga promises attendees "10 trade fairs under one roof" offering a layout divided up into themed areas including Anuga Fine Food, the biggest of the Anuga trade fairs, Anuga Frozen Food, Anuga Meat, Anuga Chilled & Fresh Food, Anuga Dairy, Anuga Bread & Bakery, Anuga Drinks, Anuga Organic, Anuga FoodService, and Anuga RetailTec.

Anuga opens its doors from Saturday, 10-14 October.

Organisers of Asia Fruit Logistica also say this year's event has seen record exhibitor demand, with companies from 35 different countries signing up to showcase their products and services at the event.

Sales of exhibition space have already outstripped last year’s show by more than 20 per cent, organisers say, with many of the exhibiting countries are seeking to capitalise on Asia’s booming import demand.

Asia Fruit Logistica is being held at Hong Kong’s AsiaWorld-Expo Center on 2-4 September.
