Tasmanian Dairy Products and KFC Australia are among the finalists of next month's HACCP Conference awards, which recognise the effort of both companies and individuals in ensuring the safety of Australia's food supply.

Making the list of finalists in the Outstanding Company Multi Site sub-category are KFC Australia, GSF (Golden State Foods) Australasia which is a food service supplier to quick service restaurants, and freight company Toll Intermodal.

Tasmanian Dairy Products, a recently established milk powder processor that is co-owned by Murray Goulburn, Pirovic Family Farms – Egg Grading and Egg Pasteurising Operation, and WA casino and resort, Crown Perth are finalists in the Outstanding Company Single Site sub-category.

The finalists in the outstanding individual nominated by an agri-food industry company are Damien Alexander from Woolworths and Jo Brooks from Australian Dairy Audit Solutions.

The finalists in the outstanding individual working as a registered food safety auditor are Lisa Tomassen of SGS and Anthony Peart of SSCFC, which is part of QC Australia.

The HACCP Conference for food safety industry professionals is being held in Sydney from 26-28 August 2014, and is hosted by Advancing Food Safety, SAI Global.

The winners will be announced at the HACCP Conference Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony, held on 27 August.

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Australia (CCEP) has officially opened what it says is the largest and most efficient canning line in its global network, located at its Richlands manufacturing facility in Brisbane.

The Australian Takeovers Panel has rejected a request from minority Pact Group shareholders to block the company’s plan to delist from the ASX. The delisting will be put to the vote on at Pact's EGM on 12 June.
