Excellence in South Australia’s largest manufacturing sector, the food and beverage industry, has been celebrated for more than 25 years by the South Australian Premier’s Food and Beverage Industry Awards. Entries are now open for the 2025 edition, with a renewed focus on sustainability, advanced manufacturing, and robust business systems, reflecting an industry committed to long-term, future-focused growth.

Australian manufacturers are going through a difficult period, with rising costs and a shrinking skilled workforce pushing companies to look towards innovative solutions.

Presented by Food South Australia, with the support of the Government of South Australia through the Department of State Development, the awards provide a platform for local food and beverage businesses to gain industry-wide recognition, strengthen connections, and explore new opportunities for expansion.

Food South Australia CEO Tori Dixon-Whittle said the awards go far beyond recognition.

“We’re not just recognising excellence – we’re creating strategic opportunities for businesses to
grow, innovate, and lead,” said Dixon-Whittle.

“These awards offer valuable industry connections, targeted development opportunities, and increased visibility to drive ongoing success and leadership.”

Industry support from sponsors is supporting the program's continued growth in impact, reach and relevance, with the leading supplier of dried pasta in Australia, San Remo, leading the charge as Principal Sponsor for 2025.

South Australian Premier, Peter Malinauskas, said the awards help to showcase South Australia’s leadership in premium food and beverage production.

“These awards continue to set the standard for best practice and innovation across our state’s
food and beverage sector,” said Malinauskas.

“I encourage businesses from across the state to get involved and take advantage of the benefits this prestigious program offers.”

This year’s awards feature 18 categories, expanded from previous years, judged by an independent panel of industry experts.
