The NSW government has lured Victorian manufacturer, Murray River Organics, over the border to NSW where it will build a new processing facility at Mourquong in the state's South West.

The dried fruit processor is relocating from the nearby town of Merbein in Victoria to build the $4.2 million processing facility which will employ 57 full time staff from year three of its new operations.

The company is one of Australia's largest vertically-integrated, certified organic growers, processors, packers and marketers of dried vine fruit including sultanas, raisins, currents and muscatel clusters.

Last year, it received the Governor of Victoria Export Award in the agribusiness category.

The NSW government said the relocation of Murray River Organics was achieved through negotiations between the company and NSW Trade and Investment plus assistance from the State Government’s Regional Industries Investment Fund.
