The Australia Fresh Milk Holdings Consortium has lured Australia's largest single-site dairy, Moxey Farms, into the fold.
The consortium also includes food manufacturer Freedom Foods, the Perich dairy farming family and China's New Hope Dairy Holdings, which recently announced plans to invest $500 million in Australian dairy farms over the next decade.
The Australia Fresh Milk Holdings Consortium likewise aims to invest in Australian dairy farms with a view to exporting fresh milk and value-added dairy products to China, according to ABC Online.
Moxey Farms is located at Gooloogong near Forbes in NSW and produces 50 million litres of milk per year from 3,700 cows on 2,700 hectares.
It will acquire a strategic stake in the Australian Fresh Milk Holdings Consortium, which will in turn have access to its assets and operations.
