Melbourne-based Gippy Foods has launched a range of Australian natural cream cheeses, produced on its fully automatic computer-controlled plant in Longwarry Food Park.

The cream cheese is used in cheesecakes, dips, savoury snacks, desserts, pastry crusts, confectionery and processed cheese and is made from fresh cow’s milk from the Gippsland region.

“It is produced by a natural fermentation process which results in a creamy, rounded, cultured flavour that is not tart or acidic,” the company said.

“It has the smooth and creamy texture that consumers love in high-quality cream cheese. It has a very nice flavour and consistency.”

The range includes Natural Cream Cheese C type, Natural Cream Cheese Premium with single gum, and Neufchatel Cream Cheese, which has a lower fat content than standard cream cheese. The cream cheeses are available in two packs of 10kg per carton and have a 12-month shelf life.
