Tribe Breweries is gearing up to become one of the largest independent craft brewers in the Australasian region with the completion of a new facility.

The recently restructured Tribe Breweries spans two businesses and brands, Brewpack and Stockade Brew Co, and its new $35 million brownfield brewing and packaging facility in Goulburn, NSW will come on stream in September

Brewpack was founded in 2015 as a contract brewer, while Stockade is a fast growing independent craft beer brand with a portfolio that includes 8Bit IPA and Hop Splicer XPA.

The new plant will include the latest brewing technology from Rolec and a flexible can and bottling line solution from Krones.

Over the last three years the business has grown its production volumes on average by over 50 per cent per year, and Tribe co-founder and CEO Anton Szpitalak says that the corporate rebrand aims to tap into the market's fast growth.

“We are all about uniting to inspire and excite consumers about premium craft products globally,” Szpitalak said.

The company's current facility at Smeaton Grange has grown in capacity to well over one million cartons of production annually, with the Goulburn facility to boost Tribe's production capacity to over 30 million litres a year with eventual potential for over 70 million litres (around 9m cartons).
