Chandon Australia has appointed Loïc Le Calvez as the new senior winemaker for its Yarra Valley Winery. Le Calvez is an oenologist, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the sparkling wine industry to the role.

"It is wonderful to work as part of the talented team at CHANDON, not only in crafting exceptional sparkling wines but also in furthering their commitment to sustainability initiatives," said Le Calvez.

Chandon Australia's winemaking director, Dan Buckle said Le Calvez had a deep understanding of traditional method sparkling wine.

"Loic will undoubtedly be an exceptional asset to our team, with a remarkable palate, a deep understanding of traditional method sparkling wine, and a contagious energy that uplifts the team.

“His invaluable contributions at the tasting bench will be instrumental in shaping our wines. We are fortunate to have someone of his calibre to bounce ideas off and continue the exceptional quality of our Chandon wines," said Buckle.
