Little Cake Place, founded less than four years ago, has made a splash in the baking industry with its hanging and chandelier cakes.

Founder Caitlin Mitchell, who took her first cake decorating class in October 2011, established A Little Cake Place in September 2012, and has since won multiple awards at the Royal Queensland Show and a Gold Award at the International Cake Expo, London.

The company's latest win was in the Cake Design category at the Australian Bridal Industry Academy’s 17th Annual Queensland Bridal Awards.

“This award is voted for by brides who chose A Little Cake Place for one of the biggest days of their lives,” Mitchell said.
