Coca-Cola Amatil has joined a group of leading beverage companies in supporting a new diversity initiative aimed at fast-tracking the industry’s female talent.

 

The program brings together senior industry leaders of both sexes, each of whom will be paired with a specifically matched female mentee from a different organisation.

 

The Women in Drinks Mentoring Program was unveiled by the Women in Drinks Council, in partnership with Serendis Leadership Consulting, and funded by a number of Drinks Association members, including Coca-Cola Amatil.

 

“When it comes to diversity, as an industry we know we’re well off the pace,” Shane Richardson, managing director of Amatil’s Alcohol & Coffee business says. “We’re significantly behind other industry averages when it comes to the gender diversity at all levels of management.”

 

“This program is designed to help support women in our industry who aspire to leadership roles, while educating senior leaders and influencers in the drinks industry on the benefits, enablers and barriers to women in their organisations and in our industry as a whole.”
