Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) has promoted Peter Kelly to the role of managing director of its subsidiary SPC Ardmona from the beginning of April.

Kelly, who currently works as CCA’s managing director of business services, has spent 25 years working for Coca-Cola.

He has held a number of key positions including GM of grocery and director of operations and logistics for Coca-Cola’s Australian business, and regional director for Asia with accountability for the Indonesian and Papua New Guinea business units.

“Peter has a strong track record of developing breakthrough commercial strategies in challenging operating environments and I look forward to his leadership of SPC Ardmona,” said Warwick White, CCA’s managing director for Australasia.

Kelly takes over from Vince Pinneri, who will take up the position of director of new ventures within CCA’s Australian Beverages executive team.

White said Pinneri had made a significant contribution to the SPC Ardmona business since he took on the role in July 2010.

“Vince led the SPC Ardmona business through a challenging period for the Australian manufacturing industry, particularly in food processing,” he said.

“Vince has been with the Coca-Cola system for almost 30 years and is an integral member of our executive team. We look forward to his return to the beverages side of our business.

“SPC Ardmona continues its business transformation as the company strives to be competitive in a challenging trading environment,” White said.
