Rekorderlig is voluntarily withdrawing its Cocktail Cans from shelves after discovering an issue with the cans.

The issue has the potential to compromise product quality and relates to all stock of 250ml canned Rekorderlig Cider Cocktails only, according to brand owner Abro.

A small manufacturing defect in the cans has resulted in some non-harmful, off-flavours being detected in some drinks, according to the company.

The product, however, does not pose an allergen or broader health risk, Abro said.

“Rekorderlig has a reputation for quality and consumer experience, it is therefore of paramount importance to us that whilst this poses no health risk to consumers, we have made the decision to temporarily withdraw Rekorderlig Cocktail Cans from sale,” Henrik Dunge, CEO AB Åbro Bryggeri said.

All retailers are being asked to withdraw all Rekorderlig cider cocktail cans from shelves and await replacement stock. No other Rekorderlig products are affected.

Rekorderlig products are distributed in Australia by Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA), and customer concerns are being directed to CCA’s Consumer Care Centre on 1800 11 2337.
