The Bundaberg Rum Distillery has won gold at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awardsand has become the first distillery to win in the Tourism Wineries, Distilleries & Breweries category.

The latest award joins a number of wins for the Bundaberg Rum Visitor Experience, which attracts more than 70,000 domestic and international tourists each year.

“There are so many great distillery, brewery and winery experiences in Australia, so to be recognised as ‘the best of the best’ at the Australian Tourism Awards is absolutely amazing." Bundaberg Rum visitor experience operations & brand manager Duncan Littler said.

“This new award shines a spotlight on the range of offerings from our distillery, including the hugely popular Blend Your Own Rum experience.

“We hope that this win will help inspire people to visit beautiful Bundaberg and experience all the great things our fantastic region has to offer.”

The Bundaberg Rum Visitor Experience offers two tour experiences, in addition to the famous distillery tour, allowing tourists to walk through a series of converted 75,000L oak vats while learning of the history behind Bundaberg Rum.
