Bega Cheese has announced its CEO Aidan Coleman will retire next year.

 

Coleman will work with the company to ensure the transition to new leadership is seamless ahead of his retirement in January 2017, according to Bega.

 

The company said it is well advanced in the recruitment process for his replacement.

 

“Aidan has done a wonderful job as CEO of Bega Cheese over the past five years. His focus on

business and people development has been a great asset to the company,” Bega chairman Barry Irvin said.

 

“I think everybody who knows and works with Aidan respects both his leadership skills and personal qualities."

 

The company made the announcement along side its financial results for the year to June.

 

Bega's net profit tax rose 132 per cent to $28.8 million and its revenue rose by 7.5 per cent to $1.2 billion in the year to 30 June.
