Australian Dairy Nutritionals says it is selling its Brucknell South farm in Victoria because the organic A2 milk produced by the farm is surplus to its needs.

The announcement comes a week after ADN told the market Chemist Warehouse was no longer going to stock Future Gradulac Gentle infant formula range.

The company said that the sale of the property was surplus to the raw milk requirements of the Group’s Depot Road infant formula manufacturing facility. It wouldn’t impact its Ocean Road Dairies organic A2 infant formula at the site.

ADN has another farm - Yarding - which produces enough organic A2 protein milk.

In a statement the company said, “While disappointing, domestic sales of the range have not met expectations and the outlook for the Future brand is under consideration.

“There has been no investment in inventory of the future range over the past 12 months and the Company wrote off a large quantity of existing inventory in the FY23 accounts.

“The Company is continuing to pursue opportunities to sell the remaining inventory through international markets.”
