Australian coconut water producer C Coconut has signed an agreement with LA Distributing Company to take the brand into Los Angeles County.

LA is considered to be America’s largest coconut water market – a solid foundation for C Coconut's expansion in the US.

C Coconut sells 330ml and one-litre products which are already distributed directly to some stores in Beverly Hills, but CEO Aaron Zerefos says the company is looking to LA Distributing Company to increase its market presence in LA's mainstream grocery retailers.

“LA could be our best market for C," Zerefos says.

“We’re at a point where a lot of people are wanting to buy our products, but our inventory and distribution hasn’t been able to keep up with consumer demand.

"LA Distributing has the ability to move a lot of cases across all channels."

This summer, he says, C's sales have doubled on America’s east coast.

Along with the US, C Coconut Water is sold in Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Singapore.
