The Arnott’s Group (TAG) has appointed Alison Merner as its new chief people officer. The company stated she will lead the company’s People & Culture strategy across Australia and the Asia Pacific region, with a focus on building capability, strengthening culture, and supporting the Group’s growth ambitions.

“I’m excited to join The Arnott’s Group – a business with a deep legacy – and to partner with the leaders and teams to foster a culture that enables strong performance with integrity,” said Merner.

“I look forward to supporting the growth and wellbeing of our people as we continue to expand our brands in Australia and beyond.”

Merner brings previous experience in people & culture from Endeavour Group and Woolworths Group, with deep industry knowledge and proven ability to navigate complex, evolving business environments.

The Arnott’s Group CEO, George Zoghbi, said the appointment reflected the strengths of the company’s brands and the calibre of talent that the Group continues to attract.

“With her strong commercial insights, strategic people leadership and inclusive approach, I’m confident Alison will play a pivotal role in elevating our business through the delivery of a high-impact People & Culture function,” said Zoghbi.

Alongside Merner’s appointment comes some broader leadership changes, including moving chief customer officer, Michelle Foley, to the position of managing director snacking ANZ, and chief transformation officer, Matthew Palmer, becoming managing director snacking international. TAG chief marketing officer, Jenni Dill, will also move to the position of chief growth officer.
