The Queensland government is searching for the state’s top exporters, with applications now open for the 2026 Premier of Queensland Export Awards. Winners will represent the state at the Australian Export Awards in November.

The Premier of Queensland Export Awards are led by Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ), in collaboration with Austrade and the Australian Export Awards. The event celebrates achievements of the state’s $138.9 billion export industry, of which food and beverage is a significant proportion.

Queensland’s agricultural produce has a global reputation for being safe and nutritious, with the state’s primary industries exporting to over 130 destinations worldwide. In 2024-25, the state’s total agriculture, fisheries and forestry export value was $15.6 billion.

Bundaberg-based Marquis Macadamias won last year’s award for Agribusiness, Food and Beverage, and went on to take out the category at the 2025 Australian Export Awards.

Queensland Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training, Ros Bates, said the Awards recognised the businesses playing a key role in Queensland’s economic growth.

“Queensland exporters are competing in some of the toughest global markets, and these awards recognise the ambition and grit it takes to win,” said Bates.

“The state government is restoring confidence with our international partners and backing Queensland businesses to make the most of every opportunity available on the world stage.”

Applications for the 2026 Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards are now open online at tiq.qld.gov.au, and close on 12 June. Winners will be announced at this year’s Awards Dinner, taking place on 8 October in Brisbane.
