A shopping list app which give food producers direct access to consumers has been launched in time for Christmas.

Called LocalShopa, the app enables food producers to create a profile in which to promote their products.

Shoppers can add items to their shopping list via voice input or instant text search of the built-in library, easily re-list favourite items, and add and re-use custom items.

The app then highlights local producers of those items, and a list of nearby retail outlets they can purchase from.

The app also has a ‘ToDo List’ function which enables users to watch for local events in specific areas of interest, such as Farmers’ Markets and Food Truck gatherings.

Lava Software CEO Michael Wildoer created LocalShopa to increase support for local producers and help shoppers access what they need in a couple of clicks.

Featured producers this month include makers of ‘Bad Sally’ balsamic vinegar reduction, Matchett Productions, alongside The Gourmet Entertainer and Thistle Meadery.
