Sanitarium's Weet-Bix has been voted Australia's most trusted breakfast food in a survey by Reader's Digest.

The cereal brand was up against six other products in a Catalyst Research survey of 2400 participants.

It is the fourth consecutive year the Australian-owned brand has won the title.

Sanitarium Australia's GM Todd Saunders said the 'Big Blue Box' was one of the most identifiable products on supermarket shelves.

Sanitarium has kept the original Weet-Bix formula largely intact since it first launched in the 1920s.

In other news, Sanitarium has pledged one million serves of Weet-Bix to food relief organisation Foodbank as part of its month-long Food Fight campaign.
