Western Australian winery, Ampersand Estates, has entered an exclusive distribution partnership with Young & Rashleigh to bring its portfolio to New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.
Founded in 2020 by Corrie Scheepers and Melissa Bell, Ampersand Estates is a boutique winery, distillery, and retreat situated on the banks of the Donnelly River in Western Australia’s Southern Forests. The duo restored one of the region’s oldest vineyards and winery sites, transforming the plot into a premier destination that balances heritage with a modern, inclusive ethos.
As a proudly LGBTQIA+ owned and operated business, Ampersand Estates has built a reputation for celebrating diversity. This core value is reflected in its new distribution strategy, which will focus on partnering with independent retailers and on-premise venues that share a commitment to inclusivity and community connectivity.
In a move set to broaden its national footprint, the partnership with Young & Rashleigh will provide New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory venues with access to a selection of Ampersand Estates’ Pemberton Wine Region and Frankland River wines.
Ampersand Estates co-founder, Corrie Scheepers, said bringing the company’s products to the east coast has always been part of the team’s vision, but finding the right partner was essential.
“Young & Rashleigh understand our commitment to both exceptional quality and our mission of inclusivity,” said Scheepers.
“We aren’t just looking for shelf space; we’re looking to build a community in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory that mirrors the vibrant, diverse spirit of our home in the Pemberton Wine Region and the work we’ve done to develop our strong connections in Western Australia.”
Ampersand Estates has already begun establishing roots within the New South Wales community, building key partnerships with organisations including QTopia, the Harbour City Bears, and the Pride Business Association, with further collaborations currently in development to engage local trade and consumers alike.
