Alibaba has announced it will license 10,000 physical stores under its Tmall brand in China this year.

 

The stores, which will be located in residential communities, will be added to the Alibaba Distribution Platform, a supply chain platform that provides services such as ordering goods, logistics, sales marketing, according to Chinese news site Xinhuanet.

 

Tmall is a major online retail brand in China, and The Alibaba Distribution Platform already offers its services to about 500,000 stores in China.

 

The Tmall-branded stores will smart and targeted to the local communities using 'big data analysis, according to the report.
