The tourism arm of Victoria’s High Country will receive a $50,000 funding injection to research consumer trends and behaviours around winery and cellar door tourism.

Tourism North East secured the State Government Wine Growth Fund grant, which will allow it to partner with member councils and six wine regions of the High Country to gather insights.

The project involves all 84 operating cellar doors region-wide and is designed to ensure the ongoing strength of the High Country’s wine industry.

The $50,000 grant is in addition to the $234,000 awarded to a number of individual High Country wineries to support initiatives such as export, infrastructure, marketing, and research.
