Entries are now open for the 2018 Packaging & Processing Innovation & Design Awards (PIDA) which recognise companies for innovative design of packaging and processing materials and equipment.

The awards which are designed to recognise companies and individuals who are making a significant difference in their field in Australia and New Zealand, and PIDA is the exclusive entry point for Australia and New Zealand for the international WorldStar Packaging Awards.

The Packaging & Processing Innovation & Design Awards will recognise companies showing innovative design within the Food, Beverage, Health, Beauty & Wellness and Domestic & Household markets.

There will also be two special awards:

  • Sustainable Packaging & Processing Design Award
  • Save Food Packaging Design Award

The four individual awards are:

  • Young Packaging & Processing Professional of the Year
  • Industry Packaging & Processing Professional of the Year
  • The APPMA Scholarship and the Packaging Council of New Zealand Scholarship

The PIDA Awards are the exclusive award program for all Australia and New Zealand entries into the prestigious WorldStar Packaging Awards.

The awards are organised by the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP), the Australian Packaging & Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) and the Packaging Council of New Zealand.

The 2018 PIDA Awards will be held in conjunction with the international WorldStar Packaging Awards, alongside the biennial AIP National Conference on the 2 May at Surfers Paradise, Queensland.

Applications close on 23 February next year.
