Australian Primary Hemp (APH) has secured national distribution with 7-Eleven for its Mt. Elephant hemp seed and nut bars. It is expected to generate an annual sales volume between $1-1.4 million.

The ASX-listed company will have its Mt. Elephant snack bars stocked in more than 720 7-Elevem stores around the country, and is the first, major, mainstream retailer to stock the range.

Mt. Elephant was developed to “capture the growing consumer demand for high-quality, plant-based ‘superfood’ products” and has three flavours in the range – Apricot & Nut, Honey & Nut and Salted Caramel.

APH managing director and CEO Neale Joseph said since the launch of the brand in September, the business has received positive responses from retailers, resulting in the range being stocked in 400 stores nationally to date.

“The arrangement with 7-Eleven shows the mainstream appeal of our convenient plant-based snack bars and is a significant step forward in APH’s commercialisation and distribution plans,” said Neale.

“We expect customers will enjoy the convenience of being able to purchase healthy, plant-based snacks from 7-Eleven’s extensive store network and experience the ‘superfood’ benefits of hemp.”

The bars are made from 100 per cent Australian hemp, and are a source of Omega-3 and -6, Magnesium and Gamma Linoleic acids.
