Queensland-based Yallamundi Farm has launched its Free-Range Pasture-Raised eggs in Woolworths stores, as well as committing to become a 100 per cent carbon-neutral farm by 2022.

Yallamundi Farm is a family farm located in Queensland on 8,000 acres, with more than 330,000 olives trees. It has 750 hens per hectare and its Free-range Pasture-Raised eggs come from hens with 13 times more space than the National Free-Range Standard fo 10,000 hens per hectare.

“On our farm, we developed a new farming system that combines our hens’ welfare with an environmentally sustainable method of farming eggs,” said Adam from Yallamundi Farm.

“Ensuring our hens are happy and healthy is our number one priority. That’s why animal welfare is central to everything we do – including feeding our hens the very best nutrient-rich, plant-based diet.”

The egg farmers have also partnered with the Doug Hall Foundation, with five cents from every pack of Yallamundi Farm eggs sold being donated to the foundation.

The Free Range ‘Pasture-Raised’ eggs from Yallamundi Farm are now in select Woolworths stores across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

Packaging News

The World Packaging Organisation has named 234 winners for the WorldStar Packaging Awards 2026, which were selected from 481 entries submitted across 36 countries.

ACOR is calling on the Government to urgently introduce packaging reforms or risk the collapse of Australia’s plastic recycling sector and face millions of tonnes of plastic waste polluting the environment.

As 2025 draws to a close, it is clear the packaging sector has undergone one of its most consequential years in over a decade. Consolidation at the top, restructuring in the middle, and bold innovation at the edges have reshaped the industry’s horizons. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.
