Woolworths Bakery has dropped a twist on an Australian classic, limited-edition finger bun inspired Filled Buns with extra icing and flavour.

Where finger buns traditionally only have the icing on the top of the bun, the Woolworths Filled Buns pack the soft, sweet brioche-style bun with pink icing inside for extra flavour, and finish things off with a sprinkle of toasted coconut.

Woolworths Bakery product developer, Ben Nguyen, said: “We have all been there when you get a delicious finger bun and you are left wanting more of the iconic pink icing on top.”

“Our Filled Buns solve this age-old problem in the most delicious way possible by adding a surprising amount of pink icing inside the bun, similar to what customers may have found with some of our limited edition hot cross buns,” said Nguyen.

The new limited-edition Finger Bun Inspired Filled Buns are available in a four-pack for RRP $5.50 at Woolworths stores nationally and online.
