Woolworths has launched a range of offerings for the festive season, including classic dishes and new flavours. More than 100 specially curated products feature in the range developed in-house by Woolworths’ brand team together with Australian suppliers.

New products available this Christmas include the Biscoff Trifle, Macro Chicken Roast with Honey, Macadamia and Orange stuffing, Salmon Gravlax and Fruit Mince Pies with Apple Brandy. The popular Gold Davidson Plum & Gin Tarts return once again along with the Pavlova Wreath with Daintree Vanilla.

Woolworths Food Company (Retail) managing director, Louis Eggar, said the range aimed to provide customers with a wide variety of dishes and desserts especially for an Australian Christmas.

“The team has really thought of everything this year, not only is it about great taste and value, we also want to take the pressure off preparing the Christmas lunch,” said Eggar.

“That’s why we’re bringing back a number of products in oven ready trays, and to make planning a little easier at such a busy time of year, we've created a range of Christmas menus to suit a variety of budgets so everyone can enjoy the festive season.”

Woolworths Half Leg Christmas hams are selling at $8kg – the same price as last year. With almost 20 different specialty ham products in this year’s range, customers will have a wide variety of choices.

Woolworths director of meat, poultry & seafood, Tim Dudding, said the arrival of Christmas hams on shelves is always a key moment, marking the unofficial start of the festive season for many Australians.

“We know that the Woolworths Half Leg Ham is a centrepiece on countless Christmas tables, with over half a million Australian families choosing it last year,” said Dudding.

“This ham isn't just a holiday tradition – it's an award-winning customer favourite, renowned for its quality and flavour. That’s why we're pleased to offer it again this year at the same great price as last year of $8 per kilo.”

Several products from this year’s ham lineup at Woolworths feature Australian flavours, such as the Gold Glaze & Bake Ham with Davidson Plum & Honey Glaze.

Packaging News

The merger between packaging giants Amcor and Berry is now complete, with the all-scrip deal creating a company with some 400 packaging plants, and 75,000 staff, located in 140 countries.

Pact Group is facing softening demand in Q4, citing Donald Trump’s tariffs, the ongoing domestic cost of living pressures, and supply chain disruption with shipping container supply tightening.

Raphael Geminder is following through on his stated intention to delist Pact Group in light of his failed takeover of the company, and has set 16 July as the date he wants it off the ASX.
