Woolworths is celebrating National Lamington Day with a modern twist on the iconic Australian treat. The company has launched its new Caramelised Biscuit Lamington, a limited edition product.

The new creation features a soft vanilla sponge, dipped in a rich caramel-flavoured chocolate coating, and rolled in caramelised biscuit crumbs – ready to celebrate National Lamington Day on 21 July.

Woolworths category manager for cakes, Laura McLeod, said the company knows Australians love a classic lamington, but they also love the popular flavour of caramelised biscuits.

“We wanted to combine the two to create an exciting new treat that feels both nostalgic and modern. It’s the perfect blend of soft sponge and a crunchy, spiced biscuit coating – we think it's a new winter favourite,” said McLeod.

The Caramel Biscuit Lamington, 320g, is available in all stores and online for RRP $12.00 from 1 July.
