Whittaker’s has unveiled its version of the age-old classic, peanut brittle, with its Peanut & Caramel Brittle, now available nationwide at Coles and Woolworths.

This 250g block is a blend of Whittaker’s signature 5 Roll Refined Creamy Milk chocolate, freshly batch-roasted peanuts, and buttery salted caramel brittle to deliver a mix of sweet, salty, and crunchy textures.

Whittaker’s co-COO, Holly Whittaker, said the new peanut-focused flavour demonstrates Whittaker’s commitment to its philosophy of ‘best is always better’.

“The addition of the delicious salted caramel brittle, alongside the peanuts, really delivers on flavour and texture. We hope that Chocolate Lovers will agree this is something special and look forward to their feedback,” said Whittaker.

Made with care from bean to bar at Whittaker’s one and only factory in Porirua, New Zealand, the Peanut & Caramel Brittle Block is palm oil-free and uses 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified cocoa.

The new flavour is available now from Coles and Woolworths stores across Australia for RRP $8.50.

Packaging News

The World Packaging Organisation has named 234 winners for the WorldStar Packaging Awards 2026, which were selected from 481 entries submitted across 36 countries.

ACOR is calling on the Government to urgently introduce packaging reforms or risk the collapse of Australia’s plastic recycling sector and face millions of tonnes of plastic waste polluting the environment.

As 2025 draws to a close, it is clear the packaging sector has undergone one of its most consequential years in over a decade. Consolidation at the top, restructuring in the middle, and bold innovation at the edges have reshaped the industry’s horizons. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.
