American brand, Westward Whiskey, is releasing a limited-edition Boilermaker bundle featuring a barrel-aged beer from Melbourne based brewers, Stomping Ground.
Westward Whiskey Small Batch Selection Strong Ale with Coffee Cask Finish is a 50% ABV new whiskey, aged in barrels that held the brands previous collaboration – Stomping Ground’s Into The Wood 2022 Series, Westward Whiskey Barrel-Aged Strong Ale with Coffee, released in August 2022. The new whiskey will be released alongside a 2024 version of the initial collaboration, Stomping Ground’s Into The Wood 2024 Series.
The bundle marks the culmination of a five-year journey, beginning when Westward Whiskey sent their American oak barrels, which previously held American Single Malt, to Stomping Ground.
Westward master blender, Miles Munroe, and Stomping Ground head brewer, Ashur Hall, then brewed a Strong Ale infused with Proud Mary coffee (Westward Whiskey Barrel-Aged Ale with Coffee).
Following its 2022 release, Westward filled those same casks with mature Westward Whiskey to create this new ultimate whiskey offering. Finished for 18 months, the end result is a mingle of 3 exclusive barrels that have journeyed around the world to create Westward Whiskey Small Batch Selection Strong Ale with Coffee Cask Finish.
The 10% ABV 2024 Into The Woods Strong Ale infused Proud Mary cold brew and golden syrup into the brew, after months resting in Westward Whiskey barrels – layering roasty espresso, chocolate, delicate blackberry subtleties and sticky caramelised character, over the ingrained oak and vanilla notes.

The Westward & Stomping Ground Boilermaker Bundle features a 375ml bottle of Westward Whiskey Small Batch Selection Strong Ale with Coffee Cask Finish and a two-pack of Stomping Ground Into The 'Wood 2024 Series, Whiskey Barrel-Aged Strong Ale with Coffee.
