Vitasoy is expanding its offering of dairy-free, soy yoghurts, designed to give the taste of a traditional Greek-style yoghurt, with a new Greek Style Soy Yogurt range in four flavours – Plain, Vanilla, Strawberry and Mango and Passionfruit.

Vitasoy’s new yoghurt products come as a response to demand from customers to introduce a plant-based yogurt to the market that delivered on taste, texture and the ease of use.

Vitasoy Australia marketing and strategy director Nick Bartram, said the soy yoghurt range had been years in the making.

“This launch has been many years in the making, and we’ve applied the same consideration we use in our plant-based milk products.

“Our ambition was to create a plant-based yogurt that makes it easier for people to reach their recommended daily intakes,” said Bartram.

Vitasoy Nutrition Insights Manager Rachael Adams said, “Our studies show one in three people claim to limit the amount of dairy in their diet, and whilst plant-based alternatives exist, this can come at a nutritional cost if you’re not paying attention to what you’re consuming.

“We’ve made sure our range of plant-based yogurts deliver where other plant-based yogurts typically fall short - they provide essential nutrients like protein and calcium and vitamin D which are some micronutrients people often aren’t getting enough of.

The Vitasoy Greek Style Soy Yogurt range is available at Woolworths for RRP of $5.80 for a 450g pot and $2.70 for a 140g pot.
