Suntory Oceania has launched a new subrange of its V Energy brand, V Riise, a slow-release energy drink that will be available across Australia and New Zealand in flavours blackcurrant and mandarin.

The company stated V Riise is the only energy drink in the market that contains isomaltulose, a type of sugar that works together with fibre and fruit juice to deliver a steady and sustained energy boost.

Designed to provide a smoother and prolonged energy lift, V Riise offers a low glycemic index formulation that combines fibre, natural caffeine from tea, and real fruit juice.

V Energy head of marketing, Mariko Inoue, said this is an exciting development for the brand, with V Riise building on the success of V Energy.

“V Riise was developed in response to a clear consumer need for a more sustained energy solution,” said Inoue.

“Research shows that two thirds of people experience energy dips throughout the day and are seeking products that meet their energy needs. With its innovative slow-release energy formulation and more prolonged energy lift, V Riise addresses these needs. Importantly, it also provides consumers with a new option within the energy drinks category.”

V Riise Blackcurrant and Mandarin 330 mL cans are now rolling out in supermarkets and petrol & convenience stores across Australia and New Zealand.
