Wine brand Tempus Two has produced its first batch of wine-based gins, featuring a Prosecco Gin, Shiraz Gin, and Wild Botanical Gin.

Staying true to the aromas and flavours of each varietal, the Prosecco Gin is light and distilled with juniper, citrus and rose buds; the Shiraz Gin is sweet and peppery and infused with wild botanicals and a shiraz juice from grapes; and the Wild Botanical Gin is a citrus gin, made using desert limes, saltbush and wattle seed.

Tempus Two chief winemaker Andrew Duff, said the idea came after the process of creating a low alcohol range. The range is produced using spinning core technology before infusing the botanicals.

“The idea for our Tempus Two Gin range came from a desire to harness the wine spirit that was extracted during the process used to make our low alcohol Lighten Up wines. We saw an opportunity to develop the varietal properties of the alcohol that was spun off and repurpose it into a range of high-quality gins.

Using a combination of traditional and non-traditional extraction and distillation methods, we’ve created a product that both reduces our environmental impact and harnesses delicious wine qualities in a premium gin,” said Duff.

The Tempus Two Gin range is available at the Tempus Two Cellar Door and at selected First Choice Liquor stores with a RRP of $85.00.
