Melbourne-based distillery The Craft & Co has developed a new range of distilled teas, combining its craft gin and rum with various teas.

The Artillery range – with its namesake deriving from ‘Artisan Distillery’ – is a read-to-pour liquor, light in alcohol at 15 per cent ABV.

The Craft & Co team noticed other distillers and bartenders had explored the idea of “‘tea flavoured gins’, but were keen to explore ‘gin flavoured teas’ instead – more tea, rather than more booze”.

With consumer trends leading to lighter alcohol consumption, as well as creating a spirit that can be enjoyed by many palates and in many places, Craft & Co aimed to address these desires with its latest creations.

The range includes: Earl Grey Gin Tea, made with bergamot, juniper & spice; Oolong Gin Tea, with floral and toasty tasting notes; and Jasmine Rum Tea, with floral, spice and earthy flavours.

The Craft & Co Artillery range is now available from The Craft & Co and Dan Murphy’s, from RRP $38.00.
