Four individually wrapped pies from the Tasmanian pie company National Pies are available nationally for the first time, being stocked in Woolworths freezer aisle.

The 180 gram range use 100 per cent grass fed Australian beef and free-range Tasmanian chicken from Marion Bay.

National Pies CEO Geraldine Tebbutt said they were confident Australians would find practicality in the new freezer range and fall in love with the Tasmanian delicacy.

“Australian-raised meat and Tasmanian-grown produce are synonymous with quality. We are excited for those in states who haven’t experienced National Pies to get a taste of what we’ve all been raving about.

“Our pies are baked fresh daily, with our family-run Tasmanian bakery butchering their own meat and making their own in-house pastry,” said Tebbutt.

The pies will be available at an RRP of $3.00 in four flavours including Classic Grass Fed Beef, Free Range Chicken & Mushroom, Grass Fed Steak & Caramelized Onion, and BBQ Pulled Pork.

Packaging News

As 2025 draws to a close, it is clear the packaging sector has undergone one of its most consequential years in over a decade. Consolidation at the top, restructuring in the middle, and bold innovation at the edges have reshaped the industry’s horizons. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.

Pact has reported a decline in revenue and earnings for the first five months of FY26, citing subdued market demand, as chair Raphael Geminder pursues settlement of the long-running TIC earn-out dispute.
