Family-owned producer SSS Foods has launched two hommus flavours made with 100 per cent natural, Australian ingredients.

The new hommus varieties include Natural and Coriander, Cumin & Mild Chilli. SSS Foods has used chickpeas from Kalkee, Victoria as well as herbs and spices sourced from farmers and providores often showcased at Sydney’s Flemington markets.

The products are free from artificial flavours, preservatives or added oils, as well as being vegan-friendly and gluten-free.

SSS Foods general manager Jalni Shah said hommus is a “surprisingly versatile” food, and wanted to create a range suited for everyone.

“Over the years, we’ve seen our customers use it in a number of ways, such as pasta dishes, or as an alternative pizza sauce,” said Shah.

“It’s one of those kitchen staples that can be used to give an unexpected twist to a dish to impress at a dinner party, or used to create a healthy meal the whole family will enjoy.”

The SSS Foods hommus range is also Kosher and Halal certified, and is available at Woolworths stores nationwide for RRP $3.80 each.
