Gluten-free food supplier, Simply Wize, has dropped a new sweet treat onto the shelves of Australian supermarkets – Gluten Free Churros.

According to Simply Wize, 1 in 70 Australians are affected by coeliac disease, and over 80 per cent are still undiagnosed. The gluten reduction movement is also on the rise, one of the top trending diet trends in 2024, with one in four Australians avoiding gluten.

The company stated it is proud to be making quality gluten-free products for all – with the new churros set to become the go-to for coeliacs, the gluten intolerant, and flexitarians.

Crafted in Spain, the birthplace of churros, the new Simply Wize gluten-free churros deliver on taste and texture, with a crispy outside layer and fluffy inside goodness. Perfect as a snack, dessert, or to elevate your next platter, they pair perfectly with rich chocolate or smooth caramel sauce for the ultimate indulgence.

Simply Wize head of marketing, Kiera Day, said the company believes everyone deserves to enjoy delicious food, regardless of dietary needs.

“By championing inclusivity with our new Gluten Free Churros, we’re making sure coeliacs, gluten-sensitive eaters and flexitarians alike can indulge without missing out on the flavour and crunch they love,” said Day.

Simply Wize’s Gluten Free Churros will be available in Woolworths stores nationwide from 10 June for RRP $12.00.
