SaweetWay is the first to market in Australia, with the launch of its innovative range of 100 per cent natural allulose sweeteners – the ‘next generation’ sweetener that has been officially approved for use in Australia.

Allulose is a rare but naturally occurring sugar found in fruits like figs and raisins. With only a fraction of the calories of sugar, allulose caramelises beautifully, enhancing the rich, colourful flavours of food and beverages.

SaweetWay's allulose is made with Nexweet Allulose, which is derived from non-GMO Queensland sugar cane. It is produced using enzyme technology developed by South Korea's Samyang Corporation, and provides all the sweetness of sugar with 87 per cent fewer calories.

According to Leon McIndoe, director of Saraya Australia and founder of SaweetWay, the company's mission is to "bring flavour back to healthy eating." He believes allulose allows people to enjoy sweet treats without guilt and stay true to their health goals.

The natural sweetener range from SaweetWay includes:

  • 100% Pure Allulose Sweetener: Ideal for chilled or frozen desserts, baked goods, and drinks, such as ice cream, cheesecakes, and soft cookies.
  • Baking Allulose Sweetener: A blend of allulose, erythritol, and monk fruit, designed for baked goods like banana bread, doughnuts, brownies, and pastries.
  • 100% Pure Allulose Syrup: Perfect for caramel sauces, raw baking, and both hot and cold drinks.

The SaweetWay range is available now at Woolworths.
