Drinks manufacturer Sanpellegrino has added two new citrus fruit flavours to its sparkling can portfolio.

The Italian beverage company, which is owned by Nestle, has launched Melograno e Arancia (Pomegranate & Orange) and Clementina (Clementine - a hybrid between a mandarin and an orange).

In the new Melograno e Arancia flavour, Sanpellegrino has blended pomegranates with sun ripened oranges.

In Clementina, Sanpellegrino has combined the juice of the cementine with oranges and mandarins.

“Clementines have a limited season in winter, so fortunately Sanpellegrino introduces this beverage so it can be enjoyed not only for Summer, but all year round,” the company said.

In contrast to the brand's traditional red star and blue wave pattern packaging, the new cans feature images of pomegranates and clementines, and the can is crowned with a colour co-ordinated tamper proof foil seal.

The existing range of flavours includes Aranciata (Orange), Limonata (Lemon), Pompelmo (Grapefruit), Aranciata Rossa (Blood Orange) and Chinotto.

The new Sparkling Fruit Beverages are available at cafés, delicatessens and independent retailers.
