Lion has launched XXXX Dry, a new full-strength lager exclusive to venues in Queensland and the Northern Territory, before it takes to stores from mid-April.

Brewed at the Castlemaine Brewery in Milton, XXXX Dry will be available to Queenslanders first, with the brand having “no plans at this stage to take the beer south”.

“Queensland’s favourite brewery has been a part of the fabric of this great state for 141 years… not that we’re counting! Queenslanders’ tastes continue to evolve so we are launching XXXX Dry, the perfect beer for the modern Queensland lifestyle,” said XXXX brand director Amy Darvill.

The beer is malted locally in Queensland and has a crisp finish, using Nelson Sauvin hops.

XXXX Dry will be a permanent release in select venues around Queensland and the Northern Territory, and will be available in 330ml bottles from April 20. It has RRP $19.00 for a six-pack and RRP $47.00 for a case.
