Gage Roads Brew Co has announced the latest release in its “You Vote, We Brew” series: Spring Suit Pomegranate and Guava Sour.

The 3.8 per cent ABV springtime sour features red fruit flavour from real pomegranate and guava, brewed in a traditional Gose style, with coriander seed and sea salt added for a crisp finish.

Gage Roads head brewer Ross Brown said the sour was traditional-style spliced with modern flavours.

“The team loved getting to work on this brew. Combining a traditional style with modern-day flavours, this sour is juicy and tropical, with a slight smack of salt on the tongue. The sour pours light red with a pink hue, and was brewed with real fruit which resulted in a refreshing, tart and well-balanced brew,” said Brown.

The flavour won Gage Brew’s latest “You Vote, We Brew” series in close race versus a Cali Pale Ale and Fruited Wheat Ale.

“As brewers it's great to throw choice over to the fans. It's always interesting to see what they want to drink. While we would've loved to brew any of the beer styles as our latest limited release, we are stoked this refreshing sour won the day,” said Ross.

Spring Suit Pomegranate and Guava Sour is a limited release brew, available in 6x4×500mL cans
