Italian pasta maker, Barilla, has launched a limited-edition heart shaped pasta into supermarkets as a way to express love and appreciation this Valentine’s Day.

Research from the company has shown 64 per cent of Australians prefer sharing a meal as their go-to way to express and celebrate love in their daily lives. Barilla is putting food centre stage this year, stating cooking is the essential ingredient in making memories, whether it's for a partner, friends, or even yourself.

Barilla Australia & New Zealand brand manager, Mette Jorgensen, said food has an undeniable ability to bring people together.

“Pasta, in particular, has this magic that makes meals feel both familiar and special. Whether you're cooking for your partner, friends, or even yourself, pasta is a dish that’s easy to personalise, making it the perfect way to show your love,” said Jorgensen.

“That’s why Barilla is excited to be bringing back our Valentine’s Day limited-edition heart-shaped pasta that fuses two hearts together into one.”

Barilla’s limited edition heart-shaped pasta is available from Coles stores nationwide for RRP $4.90, while stocks last.
