Premixed snack food company Funch has launched a Paleo product which enables consumers to make their own protein balls at home.

Founders Tanya Duncan and Lisa Bourne have introduced a Paleo ball mixture of Turmeric, Ginger and Lemon.

The duo worked with a Melbourne-based Paleo food expert named Lizzy Marsh to ensure the mix was healthy, with the use of anti-inflammatory superfoods.

Ingredients include lemon juice, maple syrup, coconut oil, turmeric, ginger, black pepper, almonds, coconut, chia seeds and pepitas.

“The pepper activates the curcumin in the turmeric, to give it a ‘superboost’,” Duncan said.

“And the spices are all steam-sterilised to ensure they’re safe for raw consumption”.

The product is vegan, gluten, dairy, grain and GMO-free.

Funch was launched in Melbourne in 2014 to provide mixes for health balls, slices, and muesli bars.

Consolidation at the top, restructuring in the middle, and bold innovation at the edges have reshaped the industry’s horizons. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.

Pact has reported a decline in revenue and earnings for the first five months of FY26, citing subdued market demand, as chair Raphael Geminder pursues settlement of the long-running TIC earn-out dispute.
